Visiting Midcoast Maine

Drop In and Train With Us

In town for a few days and looking for mats? You're welcome here. Flow BJJ is a Tom DeBlass Association academy in downtown Rockland, ten minutes from Camden and Rockport, and every class on our schedule is open to visitors. The mat fee is $20, and it's free if you train at a Tom DeBlass Association affiliate. No membership, no sales pitch, just come roll.

Three steps

How Dropping In Works

About five minutes of admin, most of it before you leave the hotel.

1

Sign the waiver

Fill out our drop-in waiver online before you come. It takes a couple of minutes and it's the one thing we genuinely can't skip. Parents sign for anyone under 18.

2

Send the mat fee

$20 by Venmo, using the details below. Training at a Tom DeBlass Association school? Skip this step entirely, you're our guest.

3

Show up early

Get to 4 Cedar St about ten minutes before class so we can say hello, show you around, and get you on the mats without rushing.

Step one

Sign the Drop-In Waiver

Everyone who steps on our mats signs one, members and visitors alike. Do it now and you're set when you arrive.

Sign the Waiver

Takes about two minutes. Parents sign for kids under 18.

Step two

Send the Mat Fee

We take the drop-in fee by Venmo. Send it before class or right as you walk in, whichever is easier.

Add a note with your name and which class you're coming to, so we know who the payment belongs to. Cash works too if that's simpler for you.

Association Family

Tom DeBlass Association Affiliates Train Free

Flow BJJ is a proud Tom DeBlass Association academy. If you train at another TDBJJ affiliate, there's no mat fee, ever. Just sign the waiver, tell us where you train and who your coach is when you get here, and get on the mats. Same goes if you're one of ours travelling the other direction, the association looks after its own.

Before you come

What You Need to Know

What to bring

  • Gi classes: your gi and belt. Any colour is fine, we're not precious about it.
  • No-Gi classes: rashguard and shorts or spats.
  • Muay Thai: gloves and shin guards if you travel with them. We have loaners if you don't.
  • A mouthguard, flip flops for off the mat, and water.

Which classes are open

All of them. Adult BJJ in Gi and No-Gi, Muay Thai, Women's BJJ, and kids classes if you're travelling as a family. Check the weekly schedule for times. The one exception is Saturday Muay Thai sparring, which is limited to Flow Muay Thai members.

Staying a while?

If you're in the area for several days and want to train more than once, we'll sort out a multi-day rate rather than charging you per class. Text 207-975-0232 or email flowbjjmaine@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.

Where to find us

4 Cedar St, Rockland, ME 04841, right in town and easy to park at. We're a short drive from Camden, Rockport, Thomaston and Owls Head, and a straight shot from the ferry terminal if you're coming off the islands.

Actually local?

Living Here, Not Visiting?

If you're in the midcoast and thinking about training regularly, don't pay the drop-in fee. Your first class is free, no strings.
